Arsenal have agreed to fulfill Tammy Abraham’s contract demands to join them this summer, with the Chelsea striker remaining outside of Thomas Tuchel’s plans despite being his former boss Frank Lampard’s favorite.
The Express says Abraham currently makes £ 80,000 a week at Chelsea but wants £ 125,000 to join Arsenal and the Gunners indicated in early talks that they would be happy to deliver that amount. The Blues are open to allowing him to pre-loan Arsenal, where Mikel Artetas Club would make him permanent for around £ 40million. No agreement has been reached yet, but the report claims its commitment has become a priority for Arteta.
Arsenal have many striking options right now and their move for Abraham could suggest players like Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah will leave this summer. That transfer could also lead Folarin B Alogun to question whether the club can keep their promises from the first team action that convinced them to sign a long-term deal with them last season.
